Light up Downtown
November 26th, 2011, Horizon Convention Center will be hosting its first ever Light Up Downtown Kick-off Celebration. The day will begin at 9 A.M. with the “Winter Wonderland”, an enchanted holiday walkway. Tickets will be $5 per family or $3 per person. Those who bring a receipt from a downtown business from that day or a canned good to donate to Second Harvest Food Bank will receive $1 off of admission to the walkway. Also starting at 9 A.M. will be the “North Pole Workshop”, a craft-making session for children that will last until 10 A.M. Tickets will be $5 per person and will include “Winter Walkway” admission. Also featured throughout the day is the “Shopping Village” which will showcase unique local items for sale and it will be open from 9 A.M. to 7 P.M. A silent auction will be featured from 9 A.M. to 7:30 P.M.
All events lead up to the “Kick-off Dinner Dance” which will
begin with a cocktail hour from 6 P.M. to 7 P.M. and dinner will be served
afterwards. Tickets for the dinner will be $30 per person or $240 for a
reserved table of 8. At 8 P.M., a
