Horizon Convention Center Hosts Coca-Cola Collectors Soft Drink Swap Meet

This weekend the Horizon Convention Center will host the13th Annual Coca-Cola Soft Drink Swap Meet for the first time. At the two day event, attendance is expected to exceed 400 people and will bring nearly $33,000 of economic impact to Muncie and Delaware County.

Coca-Cola Collectors will begin their regional swap meet on Saturday. Collectors of Coca-Cola memorabilia and those who are interested in the history of Coca-Cola will be traveling from Ohio, Michigan and Indiana to participate and sell Coca-Cola and other soft drink memorabilia.

“Coca-Cola has been a part of American culture for over 100 years.  Our members collect Coke bottles, glasses, trays, signs, coolers and paper advertising and all of it evokes memories of a simpler time, when even if times were hard, life was good. We are looking forward to moving our annual swap meet to its new home in the Horizon Convention Center.  Local vendors are welcome to set up a booth, collectors to search for that illusive must have item, and everyone to browse and enjoy the memories,” said Alice Clark, President of the Hoosier Chapter of the Coca-Cola Collectors Club.

The swap meet is open to the public and will take place on Saturday from 9am to 6pm and Sunday from 10am-3pm. Admission is free. If you are interested in becoming a member, visit the swap meet on Saturday morning at 8 am and receive a special rate of $10.00 for a one-year membership.

If you are interested in renting booth space please contact Alice Clark at c.alice@sbcglobal.net or Jeff Cummins at jcummins@bluemarble.net.
