Indianapolis, Indiana, December 21, 2010- With much hard work and effort from its staff, The Horizon Convention Center was recently awarded the “2010 Supplier of the Year” and “2010 STAR Service” awards from the Indiana Society of Association Executives (ISAE) at its annual recognition ceremony.

ISAE chose the Horizon Convention Center to receive its highest honor for suppliers, the “2010 Supplier of the Year Award.” The Horizon Convention Center was nominated by member associations and fellow suppliers.

 The Horizon Convention Center also won the STAR Service Award for its annual client appreciation day.  The goal of the event was to get to know and build personal relationships with clients and prospects in a non-business setting.

 “These awards are a very high honor and they speak to the level of professionalism we strive for at the Horizon Convention Center,” said Joann McKinney, president and ceo. “Our entire team is deserving of these awards, however, special recognition goes to Jodi Massey, our Director of Sales and Marketing, who has been an active participant in ISAE representing the entire City of Muncie, and Brittani Richards, who was instrumental in creating a unique and memorable event for our client’s enjoyment.“

The ISAE, Indiana Society of Association Executives, Annual STAR Awards program was held on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at the Indiana Historical Society.  Each year the associations involved in ISAE as well as association leaders and suppliers that have excelled throughout the year are recognized for their hard work.  This year, key players across the state were awarded trophies in various categories in the Awards of Excellence.

 The Horizon Convention Center is host to local, regional, national, and international guests and events which have a significant economic impact on Muncie and Delaware County.
