We are looking for a Controller!
The Controller is responsible for maintaining accounting functions and related activities in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations in support of Delaware Advancement Corporation financial activity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out month-end procedures, i.e. preparing journal entries, reviewing revenue and expenditures, in order to produce reconciled reports by department
- Oversee the company’s capital management strategy, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to support operational growth and financial stability

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Five years’ experience in accounting
- CPA not required, but is a plus
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Microsoft Office; proficient in Excel and Word
- Understand and work with financial management/accounting software. Familiarity with QuickBooks is preferred
- Understand and work with payroll systems. Familiarity with Paycor is preferred
- Experience with 401k systems

We are looking for a Sous Chef!
To assist the Executive Chef with the management, supervision and education of the kitchen personnel and to attempt to provide the best food service possible, while maintaining predetermined food and labor cost percentages. Demonstrate a professional appearance; wear clean, well-pressed chef’s attire and follow the dictates of the established dress code. This position reports to the Chef and/or Food and Beverage Director. The Sous Chef position also involved irregular work schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Executive Chef with organization of and maintaining of systems which provide for the communication of work duties to subordinates.
- Be aware of all food and food-related events contracted and obtain the product, labor and equipment necessary to fulfill those contracts.
- Assist the chef with the hiring, training, discipline, and supervision of the kitchen personnel.
- Responsible for purchasing of all food items with quantities and specification determined by the Chef.

- High School or Equivalency Diploma
- Two (2) year college degree in Culinary Arts of Food, related subject or equivalent of four (4) year’s work experience.
- Previous experience in a Convention center atmosphere/commercial kitchen is a plus

We are looking for a Sales and Event Coordinator!
The primary function of this team member is to support all efforts to maintain the Horizon Convention Center’s position as the premier meeting destination in East Central Indiana through the duties of the Sales and Event Coordinator. Under the daily direction of Sales Managers, this position will be responsible for Sales and Event coordination duties for all categories of Horizon Convention Center clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as an in-bound sales representative-working with clients on phone and in person to book events for the facility.
- Meet with clients/prospects to present the facility and gather information.
- Negotiate room rental agreements, décor, food and audio/visual options.
- Serve as point of contact for clients and coordinate with all internal departments including, Event Services, Food and Beverage, AV, and Facilities to ensure smooth event execution.
